15 Years Of Shower Part - Relocation

After Shower Part had been based from a home in London for 5 years, and then in Cornwall for another 5, the time had inevitably arrived to expand further into a purpose built building away from the family home. It was from there that in 2018, over a weekend, all the stock and office equipment was transported and set up in a separate temporary warehouse, whilst plans were drawn up for a purpose made building for the new Shower Part HQ.

We’d like to thank Rockhill Business Park, who kindly allowed us to temporary lease a warehouse space and office over two different nearby sites while our new premises were being built by them. After the planning application was passed, we were pleased that the new building was situated less than 2 miles from the original home, so that we could keep things local and retain the same staff and recruit some more! The construction work for the new warehouse started in February 2019 and was completed in June 2019, when the team were then able to move into their shiny new building, with ample space to expand the business inside even further.

Currently downstairs is the spacious warehouse and packing area providing us with more room to store new products and the bright and airy office is upstairs. We also have a meeting room, kitchen and toilets and we look forward to inviting our business contacts to pop in and see us. We are lucky to have doubled the amount of space that we had in the previous unit allowing us to have a dedicated customer pick up and trade counter so that anyone local can stop by and conveniently and quickly collect the parts needed for their showers.

When covid hit, part of the team started to work from home, and as the workstyle times and trends have changed we have kept this in place with some of the team, which has meant we have more spare on the top floor and thus we decided to advertise this separate area out for let to benefit another local business.
